Before a one-page website launch: a practical checklist
Know what to gather, what to decide, and how to give useful feedback before your one-page site moves into design.
A one-page website works best when the business details are ready before design begins. You do not need polished marketing language for every section, but you do need to know what a customer should learn and how they should reach you. This checklist helps you gather that information for Digital Nebraska's Website Launch.
1. Put the business basics in one place
The required Onboarding Intake Form asks for your business contact information, address, and hours. Before filling it out, check that those details match what you want a visitor to see. If your hours vary by day or season, say so in the intake rather than leaving the design team to guess. Decide which phone number or contact route should be most prominent on the page.
Gather: business name and public contact details; address and current hours; any service-area wording you want considered; and the person who can approve the final business facts.
2. Explain your core services or products in plain words
For each core service or product, write a short note about what it is, who it is for, and what a visitor should do next. These can be working notes. The important part is that the intake gives an accurate picture of your business rather than a list of unexplained names.
- Which two or three services should a new visitor understand first?
- Are there common questions or limits that would help someone decide whether to contact you?
- What is the next step you want a visitor to take: call, send an inquiry, or request a conversation?
Website Launch is a single page. A simple structure might introduce the business, explain its main services, show hours or location details, and make the contact step easy to find. These are planning prompts, not a promise of a particular layout or extra page.
3. Choose the image and copy path
A high-resolution logo in PNG or vector format is required for onboarding. You can also provide your own brand photography and copy. If you do not have them, Digital Nebraska can use licensed stock imagery and professionally structured standard copy based on your intake responses. Decide which route you want before design begins, and identify any images you want considered.
Original photography and custom copywriting are outside the included Website Launch scope. If you have an existing brochure or service notes, they can help you prepare accurate intake answers; they do not change the agreed project scope by themselves.
4. Be ready to connect your domain
Digital Nebraska needs DNS or domain-registrar access to connect and deploy the site. Find out who controls that account and how access will be coordinated during the project. You keep ownership and control of your domain; having the domain name alone is not the same as being ready to connect it.
5. Plan two useful feedback rounds
Website Launch includes two consolidated revision rounds. In each round, collect your team's feedback into one punch-list through the intake form or markup link. A useful list identifies the location and the requested change: for example, “In the hours section, change Saturday to 9 a.m.–1 p.m.” or “Use the supplied storefront image in place of the current image.” Gather the list before sending it so feedback does not arrive piecemeal over several days.
Changes beyond those two rounds or beyond the one-page scope require a separate charge or agreement. Multi-page architecture, ecommerce checkout, payment or inventory setup, custom API/database integrations, ongoing SEO retainers, and advertising setup are not included.
Before you begin, check the offer terms
The $995 Website Launch price is due upfront. Design begins only after the completed intake and all required business details, service descriptions, logo, and domain access are received; Digital Nebraska does not publish a fixed delivery timeframe. The offer includes mobile-friendly design, deployment, one year of hosting, and two consolidated revision rounds. The Website Launch page explains cancellation, first-year hosting support, renewal, transfer, and post-launch change terms in full.
