After Year One: How Digital Nebraska Bundle Renewals Work

When your first bundle year concludes, each component unbundles into its own predictable terms—giving you complete freedom to renew, adjust, or cancel each service independently.

A component-level renewal model: after year one, bundled services decouple into independent hosting, back-office, and phone answering agreements.

When local business owners evaluate technology packages, their biggest hesitation is rarely the initial project fee. It is the fear of year two.

Many small businesses have experienced the software bundle trap: you buy an all-in-one introductory package at a reasonable price, spend months getting your team used to it, and then discover twelve months later that the provider automatically rebills a massive annual renewal—or insists that if you cancel one tool, you lose access to everything else.

Digital Nebraska takes the opposite approach.

Whether you start with the $1,995 Website + Digital Back Office package or the $2,995 complete bundle (which adds a full year of 24/7 AI Phone Agent answering), the core rule is simple: after year one, your bundle unbundles.

There is no forced all-or-nothing package rebill. Each component transitions to its own individual pricing, billing cadence, and commercial terms. If your website is driving customers but your team prefers pen-and-paper scheduling over back-office software, you can keep hosting your website and cancel the software. If you rely on the phone agent every day but want to move your site to an internal server, you can transfer the site and keep the phone.

Understanding how each component renews after month twelve ensures you can make practical, budget-conscious decisions for your business without surprises.

1. How year-one bundle pricing works upfront

To understand renewals, it helps to review what is covered during your first twelve months. Under Digital Nebraska's approved commercial terms, two multi-component bundles combine separate customer jobs into a single upfront purchase:

  • Website + Digital Back Office ($1,995 upfront): Combines the complete Website Launch scope (a mobile-friendly single-page website, professional deployment, two consolidated revision rounds, and one full year of hosting) with twelve months of Digital Back Office access for up to three users and standard support.
  • Website + Digital Back Office + AI Phone Agent ($2,995 upfront): Combines the Website Launch scope, one year of Digital Back Office for up to three users, and one full year of standard AI Phone Agent service (including 500 inbound minutes and 500 SMS per month).

In both bundles, your initial payment covers twelve full months of service. There are no surprise monthly software invoices during that first year, provided your usage stays within standard package parameters (metered overages, such as extra phone minutes or text messaging, are billed separately as incurred).

What happens when month twelve arrives? Each of the three pillars follows its own documented renewal track.

2. Component 1: Website hosting renewal and transfer rights

Your website presence is the public front door of your business. In your initial bundle, your first year of hosting is prepaid as part of Website Launch.

What renews

Hosting renewal covers the ongoing technical infrastructure required to keep your live page accessible:

  1. Server uptime and web delivery: Fast cloud infrastructure serving desktop and mobile visitors.
  2. Automated daily backups: Routine system snapshots to safeguard site files against technical failures.
  3. SSL maintenance: Continuous HTTPS certificate management to protect visitor data and prevent browser security warnings.

How hosting renewal is quoted

Under Section 1 of the Digital Nebraska Terms of Service, hosting renewal pricing is quoted at renewal.

Digital Nebraska does not publish or lock in a speculative future hosting rate years in advance, nor do we enroll you in a hidden price-escalation clause. Prior to the conclusion of your first twelve months, we provide a transparent renewal quote based on then-current hosting rates. You review that quote and decide whether renewing hosting with Digital Nebraska makes commercial sense for your business.

The content update boundary

Just as in the standalone Website Launch offer, hosting maintenance is strictly separate from content maintenance. Hosting keeps your delivered page live and secure; it does not include ongoing text swaps, image uploads, or structural redesigns. If you need updates to your business hours, staff bios, or service descriptions during year two, those changes are quoted separately under an independent agreement.

Full domain ownership and the 30-day transfer notice

You retain full ownership and administrative control of your domain name at all times. If you review your hosting renewal quote and decide to move your site elsewhere—whether to an in-house server or an alternate hosting provider—you are entirely free to do so. Under our terms, site transfers require at least 30 days' advance notice. This notice window ensures adequate coordination for DNS updates and asset delivery so your web presence never experiences preventable downtime.

3. Component 2: Digital Back Office renewal and data export

The Digital Back Office is the working space behind your front door. It brings eight core operational areas into a single environment: customer relationship management (CRM), email marketing, social post scheduling, a booking calendar, forms creation, project management, a knowledge base, and automations.

How it renews after year one

When your bundle's included first year ends, Digital Back Office transitions to its individual product terms:

  • Current monthly rate: Digital Back Office renews at $99 per month, billed month to month.
  • Included user count: Up to three users are included in the $99/month base rate.
  • Additional team members: If your team has grown, additional users are billed at $19 per month each.
  • Support boundary: Standard support continues to cover platform access and technical troubleshooting through the platform and email. Additional support questions may be sent by email. (No specific response-time SLA is published).
  • Metered usage: Potential metered charges, including text-message usage, remain separate from the monthly subscription fee.

Month-to-month flexibility

You are never locked into an annual contract for year two. Standalone Digital Back Office operates month to month with no setup or termination fees. To prevent the next billing cycle from renewing, you simply cancel before the end of your current billing period. Your team retains uninterrupted access through the end of the paid period.

The 90-day data export window

A major anxiety when adopting business software is data portability. If you decide that Digital Back Office no longer fits your operations, Digital Nebraska protects your customer records:

  • You may request an export of your platform data for up to 90 days after service cancellation.
  • This 90-day safety net gives your business ample time to retrieve contact lists, customer notes, and project records without fear of immediate data deletion.
  • Data-retention or deletion requests submitted after the 90-day window are handled on a case-by-case basis.

4. Component 3: AI Phone Agent renewal and promotional price-locks

If you purchased the $2,995 complete bundle, your package included one full year of standard AI Phone Agent service. This service provides 24/7 inbound call answering, customer greetings, approved answers to common questions, appointment and rescheduling flows, lead capture, and routing to owners or field crews.

What the included year covered

Your first year included the standard phone package:

  • Monthly allowances: 500 inbound calling minutes and 500 SMS text messages per month.
  • Metered overages: Usage beyond these monthly allowances is billed at $0.15 per minute and $0.03 per SMS. Overages incurred during the year remain due and are billed separately.

How the phone agent renews after year one

After month twelve, phone service follows individual month-to-month terms:

  • Promotional rate eligibility: For qualifying new Digital Nebraska customers who started by December 31, 2026, the introductory rate is $129 per month. Complete-bundle buyers who met this eligibility rule keep that promotional $129 monthly price through December 31, 2027, provided their account remains continuously active and in good standing.
  • Continuous service condition: Cancellation, nonpayment, or reactivation terminates the promotional price lock.
  • Standard comparison rate: For customers outside the promotion or after promotional expiration, the standard comparison rate is $199 per month.
  • Cancellation terms: Phone service is month to month with no setup or cancellation fees. You may cancel prior to the start of your next billing period to stop future renewals. Service remains active through the end of the prepaid period. Any accrued usage overages remain due upon cancellation, and prepaid monthly service refunds are evaluated case by case.

Independent operational control

Although the AI Phone Agent is native to the Digital Back Office platform, phone service is commercially distinct. You do not have to keep the Back Office software to maintain your phone line, nor do you have to keep the phone line to continue using the software. Each module stands on its own.

5. Year-two renewal worksheet: Evaluating each component

As you approach month eleven of your initial bundle, evaluate each component independently. Use this practical worksheet to determine which services deliver clear return on investment and which can be adjusted:

Component Year 1 bundle inclusion Year 2 renewal treatment When to renew When to adjust or cancel Exit & notice rule
Website Hosting 12 months included in project fee; daily backups & SSL Quoted at renewal based on then-current hosting rates Site delivers steady traffic, local credibility, or inquiry calls Business is migrating to a custom multi-page portal or internal host Provide at least 30 days' advance notice to transfer. 6. Illustrative scenario: How a local trade business reviews its bundle

To see how component-level renewals work in daily practice, review this practical planning scenario:

Illustrative Example

A family-owned commercial cleaning and facility maintenance company in Grand Island, Nebraska, purchased the $2,995 complete bundle in November 2026. The package delivered a clean one-page website, a three-user Digital Back Office workspace for scheduling and customer notes, and an AI Phone Agent to answer after-hours facility emergencies and estimate requests.

  • Month 1–10: The website consistently validated the company's credibility when bidding commercial contracts. The office manager used the Back Office CRM and booking calendar daily to coordinate crew assignments. The phone agent captured an average of 45 after-hours inquiries each month, routing urgent commercial spills directly to the on-call supervisor.
  • Month 11 (Evaluation): Digital Nebraska reached out with the hosting renewal quote for year two. The owners sat down to review each component:
    1. Website: The owners reviewed the hosting quote, confirmed the page performed flawlessly with zero maintenance headaches, and approved year-two hosting.
    2. Back Office: The three-person management team relied heavily on the CRM and booking calendar. They authorized transitioning to the standard $99/month month-to-month subscription.
    3. Phone Agent: Because the business enrolled in November 2026, they qualified for the promotional price-lock. They confirmed the after-hours emergency route won two major property management contracts over the year. They chose to maintain the service at the locked promotional rate of $129/month through December 31, 2027.
  • Month 12: The bundle seamlessly transitioned to monthly billing for the software and phone, alongside the approved annual hosting renewal. No service was disrupted, no surprise fees were charged, and the owners retained exact control over their operating expenses.

This scenario is an illustrative example designed to demonstrate workflow planning; it does not represent an actual customer endorsement or specific transaction.

7. A month-11 renewal decision checklist for business owners

To ensure a smooth transition into year two without last-minute scrambling, follow this timeline during months ten through twelve:

  • Day 300 (Month 10): Audit actual usage. Check how often your team logged into the Digital Back Office over the past quarter. Review your monthly phone summaries to see how many inbound calls and SMS messages were handled.
  • Day 330 (Month 11): Review your renewal quotes and user counts. When Digital Nebraska delivers your website hosting renewal quote, verify it against your marketing budget. Confirm whether your Back Office still requires three users or if you need to add seats ($19/mo each).
  • Day 335 (30 days before year-end): Decide on site hosting. If you plan to renew website hosting, confirm your billing preference. If you plan to migrate your website to another hosting provider, submit your written transfer notice now to satisfy the 30-day notice requirement.
  • Day 350: Confirm phone-service continuation. If you have the complete bundle, verify whether your business qualifies for the continuous-service promotional rate ($129/month through December 31, 2027). If you wish to discontinue phone answering, submit your cancellation notice before the next billing cycle.
  • Day 365: Transition to component billing. Your approved components renew on their individual schedules. If you discontinued any software tools, place a calendar reminder within the 90-day window to request your data export.

Choosing your next step

A technology bundle should give your business momentum, not long-term contractual baggage. When you know exactly what renews, what stays optional, and how notice periods operate, you can invest in a multi-component solution with confidence.
